Instructors

DD

Dance Experience: 11+ years

Teaching Experience: 6 years

An experienced and dynamic dance instructor specializing in a diverse range of styles, including jazz funk, hip-hop, choreography, and K-pop. With a passion for movement and a wealth of expertise, DD brings a unique blend of creativity and precision to every class. Whether you're a beginner looking to groove or an experienced dancer honing your skills, DD is dedicated to inspiring and empowering students of all levels. Get ready to explore the world of dance and unlock your full potential under DD’s guidance.

 Yi 

Dance Experience: 13+ years 

Teaching Experience: 6+ years 

With extensive experience competing in various dance competitions and performing at public events such as cultural nights and crew showcases, Yi brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to their teaching.

Specializing in Jazz, Jazz Funk, and Power Jazz, Yi is also well-versed in Choreography and Hip-Hop. Known for their exceptional ability to make counts, explain the musicality of movements, and create seamless connections, Yi pays close attention to students' technique and foundational skills.

Nana 

Dance Experience: 10 years

Teaching Experience: 6 years

Music Experience: 21+ years

Graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of Music and San Francisco Art Institute in Master off Music Degree. Former music teacher at Stratford private school, songwriter for Taiwan's HIM International Music and Beijing's Taihe Rye Music, composer for the Star Gate Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and judged for ZGZG and Stanford singing contest.

The dance styles encompass K-pop, Jazz, and Heels. Nana is the founder of the EDS Heels Team. She has a keen focus on the texture of the music's beat rhythm and the emotive expression conveyed by the music's lyrics, offering meticulous beat breakdowns with careful attention to detail.

 Xixi 

Dance Experience: 19+ years 

Teaching Experience: 3+ years 

Started learning K-pop at 15 and Hip-hop at 18, achieving multiple dance competition awards, including 2nd and 3rd place team rankings in 2009-2010. Taught Jazz from 2009 to 2011 at school and the city center. Since October 2023, has been teaching Hip-hop to children at the library.

Charlie 

Dance Experience: 7 years

Teaching Experience: 1 year

Charlie is a seasoned Breaking dancer with over 17 years of experience in battles and performances, including showcasing his talent for the NBA Mavericks team. He specializes in Breaking, freestyle concepts, and move creation, blending creativity with technical precision.

With a background in arts communication studies and a thesis focused on street dance, Charlie brings a unique perspective to teaching, combining academic knowledge with real-world experience to help students develop their own dance concepts.

Breaking is not only an art form but also a physically demanding discipline. Charlie’s expertise extends to athletic training, muscle building, and injury prevention, ensuring students can train safely while reaching their full potential.

Age-Appropriate Classes

With our revised program, we now have tailored classes for different age brackets, ensuring that your child is placed in an environment that is engaging and supportive. From our Tiny Tots (ages 4-6) to our Superstars (ages 7-10+), we have classes designed to cater to their specific developmental stage.

Progress Tracking

We understand how vital it is to keep track of your child's development and improvement. With our dedicated team, we will collaborate closely with parents to provide updates on your kids' progress and create customized plans to ensure that the students enjoy a consistent and enjoyable learning journey.

  • While we understand your interest in our classes, we do not recommend walk-in/drop-ins as they may disrupt the carefully planned curriculum for the kids. However, we still recommend that you contact our customer service on WeChat (eds-2016) for a detailed consultation.   • We do not refund if you are enrolled for a dance program. we understand that sometimes students may need to miss a class due to unforeseen circumstances. If a student from either program misses a class session, they have the option to make up one class of the same type per program or receive a credit for one class to be used for enrolling in a junior class later.
